B1 LESSON 3: UNREAL CONDITIONS

 

 SECOND CONDITIONAL (TYPE 2) UNREAL CONDITION

 The second conditional is like the first conditional. But there is not a real possibility that this condition will happen. 

 FORM

                     IF + CONDITION+ RESULT.

IF + PAST SIMPLE+ WOULD+ BASE FORM OF THE VERB


EXAMPLES:

If                                            

I won the lottery               

I would buy a car.

If

I married Mary

I would be happy

If

Ram became rich

She would marry him

What would you do

If

You saw a rat in your kitchen


NOW WE PRACTICE

PUT THE VERBS IN BRACKETS INTO THE GAPS. FORM A CONDITIONAL SENTENCE - TYPE II. MIND THE NEGATIONS IN THE SENTENCES.
